Helpline Training & Volunteer Officer
26 hours per week, Glasgow or Dundee
Salary: £24,293 per annum pro rata (37hrs FTE)
Initially until 30th June 2017

Amina – The Muslim Women’s Resource Centre is a national organisation which works to empower Muslim women by giving them opportunities to have their voices heard, to improve their skills and become more confident in participating in their own communities and at a wider level.
The Helpline & Development Project is a national project funded by Scottish Government, delivering activities across the country. The project runs a national telephone helpline, a listening ear and signposting service for Muslim women. The development side of the project seeks to tackle the negative stereotyping of Muslim women by running targeted campaigns and enabling Muslim women to have their voices heard.
The Training & Volunteer Officer will have the following core aspects to her role:
Manage all elements of volunteering within the Helpline & Development Project
Recruit, train & support volunteers in their role on helpline or other parts of the project
Monitor, evaluate and accredit volunteers.
